not sure, but it is an actual law here in michigan "squatter rights" I know landlords that put in their contracts about overnight guests and that there is a limit of how many consecutive nights they can stay, because if they stay too long they will have squatter rights

You want to always treat renters with respect, almost as guests in your home, which they really are, so if they made it far enough to pass ur other checks, and this is the only bump in signing, u can look like resonable guy, which starts the lease off on the right foot.

For the properties I manage, a tenant is allowed to have a guest stay no more than 10 nights in any given month.

I have a fine for allowing pets that aren't named in the lease of $500 in my lease, along with a provision that "pets are never guests".

That may be true for Federal taxation, but each state will have a different take on whether a tax return for the LLC is to be filed or not.And it's true for Federal tax purposes only if you accept the default status of treating the LLC as a sole-proprietorship for tax purposes.
