For that reason your best bet is to talk to someone versed in long-term asset protection strategies, run their recommendations by a good tax planner/CPA to make sure that all checks out, and then you have a solid plan.Of course, that is probably all overkill for your first deal but it doesn't hurt to think ahead!

But if you dip it every year you are begging for an audit and I’d bet they would rule you weren’t using the property for a trade If you use 179 deductions for vehicles, make sure you keep very detailed logs.
