Folks I need your help with a fairly important kitchen designing dilemma:For a rather typical South Bay area SFR with a $1.2M-ish ARV, with white Shaker kitchen cabinets/stainless hardware & appliances, the color-du-jour grey "wood" flooring, similar but lighter toned walls, no wall paint in kitchen (narrow stacked stone backsplash)...............is a familiar, tried and true, "veiny" granite or a more uniformly colored quartz the more sought after countertop these days??

The judges are scoring each house based on 3 different criteria use of lights, overall design and Christmas spirit.

A neighbor suggested TSP, which sounds reasonable.Eventually I might coat the floor with an epoxy paint, but that probably has to wait for warmer weather, and I need to make progress on the stains if I expect the paint to stick.

Floods, flash floods and tornado warnings in most parts of Texas seem to be all over the weather news currently.

I realize there are many variables such as region, weather, previous rehabs, and quality of construction methods originally used on any specific house, but I'm just looking for generalizations and things to watch out for.

This would be a great foul-weather project for the winter.

For example, you could use sold price/sq ft as your "group" and designate "<$50/sq ft" as one group, "$50-70/sq ft" as another group, etc.
