In NC it is illegal to practice general contracting without a license, i.e. overseeing, managing and performing the duties of a GC, on a house that you do not intend to live in for at least 12 months after the work is complete.  

That said, when I'm booked for a performance or a lesson somewhere I can't cancel, also have a 13/mo old so have some daddy duties at home, but generally I'm flexible.

One of the most important aspects of the agent/client relationship is the duty of confidentiality.

However, that bottom of the list priority makes the petitioner subject to others with higher priority knocking them out and removing them.Oh, and since you have fiduciary duties to the estate, the creditors, claimants and heirs you won't be selling the property to yourself.

Further, if the participant or accountholder is performing the active duties, conflicts with the prohibited transactions rules will generally result. 

Ahhh the military life....it brings me back to my active duty days (Army MP).  

The income/expenses are vital to make sure you figure in all of them before moving forward.

Had I stuck with these the entire time, I would have had a much higher quantity of projects sold like J, but then I would not have had the degree of success and failure that makes me the investor I am today.Bottom line, experience is vital and you ONLY get that when you go out there and do it!

I am currently active duty but will be getting out within a year; anything that I can learn during that time would be supremely helpful!
