They both sold within 2 weeks though, so I can't be too bummed that I put more into them than I needed to.And I would say the biggest surprises on the second one were a result of the neighbor down the street (dubbed "Drunk Bob" by one of the other neighbors), who had done a fair amount of the "improvements" and really just wasn't very good.

Indy can vary neighborhood to neighborhood and even street to street.

On the plus side, the building is in a highly desirable "Class A" location on a nice, tree-lined residential street that is walking distance to the city center.

Also, one important note on this one is that the exact same home a few streets over went under contract within days at $159,900 so it's tempting to rehab it and put it out there.

I suspected the gas line was disconnected on the street.

The house in question is actually the house across the street from her so obviously, it takes a bit of the worry out of buying out of country for me.
