I did some searching and it doesn't look like there are very many meetups happening in and around the Upstate NY capital region.

What are some great residential multi family areas to invest in if I were to try and expand my business in this region?

The challenge is that it’s regional and there isn’t a ton of variation in local rates.  

Well with California being the 6th highest economy in the world, this puts us in a unique category of regions that has a tremendous impact on the Global economy not to mention the States.

For e.g. with smaller/regional players, if they've filled up their "book", they have no incentive to give better terms.

I am now in the process of financing out with Regions.

Relative to my regional market, asking prices are moving up, list to sell is down to days, and many regular home buyers are crossing the 100% threshold in multi offer scenarios. 

I was able to become the top Regional Sales Director in the company, in my first full year, by bringing an investor mindset to my work. 

this is highly regional.. so basic on line info is just general in nature and should not be relied on in any fashion.title search will handle most of the easement and encumbrances of record issues.really depends on if your buying land that has ALL public services.or is it in the boonies. ?

I’d start with local and regional banks.
