After about 30 properties, several hundred miles of driving and over 60 hours of time burned, he got his next rehab from another agent, leaving me with zero compensation for my efforts or expenses.It was after that incident that I started requiring this kind of agreement with a minimum commission.I'd say that if you want his help, sign the contract.

Sure, some companies will continue to offer WFH and some employees will never return to CA, but most employees will realize they need to be in the office in order to have a meaningful impact (read: get promoted --> read: make more money), and hence they will return.This exodus is 100% temporary.

I can see how this method would shy away sub-par contractors and/or bad ones, like you said, burning through cash too quickly or even presenting rehab not necessary or too expensive.
