For example, the costs associated could be $4,000 to repaint, carpet, etc. and the rent is only 600 thus you lose almost 7 months of rent on turnover plus lost rent in the time that the property is repaired.

She cannot re-rent, so the question is whether she wants to show the tenant (who will not be her tenant soon, anyway) who is "boss", at the cost of losing 9 months of rent, or whether she will deal with the lost late fee and keep collecting rent and not getting her house destroyed.Big companies waive late fees.
