Unless I’m missing something here, overall I personally don’t think many people would agree to something like this unless you were trying to help them stay in their home... but most of these people can’t afford to which is why they aren’t paying in the first place.

And I certainly agree with Eric that an attorney is imperative.What's really I guess at the foundation of my questions is this:If a person who is in a bind - and I see this often - where they aren't behind enough to warrant a short sale, but they don't want to show up to closing table with let's say $10,000.

Sellers—agreed to make NO repairs after inspection, but agreed to pay $1,000 at closing to buyers for repairs to be made (on a $119,000 house that had just been fully renovated).
