I think taking the risk and riding the AirBnB wave it's hot is probably worth the gamble..

I've had a couple of instances where the payment was made on the first & didn't get entered in time; a text & a phone pic of their receipt took care of that.My rather antiquated system works great for me; the tenants can pay how & when it's convenient for them, I do NOT deal with checks or cash.

It can do as much or as little as you need, it is very affordable, and if you pick the cloud version (what we use) it is very convenient.

What conveniences are available?

This is convenient for the landlords and your parents should consider something like that in the future.It seems to me your parents are hesitant because of either the relationship they have with these tenants or they feel the situation may not be as dire as you see it.

Never thought Canyon Lake could vai against New Braunfels or San Antonio, but having properties close to home would be convenient.
