Talk to agents in your area to see how the market is, what they do and don't like about their career choice and their broker.

I actually just moved down to the Fort Lauderdale area for work earlier this year, and well with everything that has popped up, my career field has slowed down.

I also look at previous Landlord references, rent:income ratios, longevity in their current job or career, longevity in their last rental, a review of social media, and more.

Many more here will have a different opinion, but bite their tongue....my advice, concentrate on a Real career.
