Learned some important lessons today while waiting for 2 1/2 hours at the MLGW office downtown Memphis to get utilities turned on in our business name...I hope sharing this will prevent you the time waste that MLGW is.1) You CAN open a business account on the phone through the residential service line.

Sharing here for conveneince:Bullet Points for St Petersburg: Short term rentals (anything less than a month) are technically illegal, but...Code enforcement only enforces this on a "by complaint" basis.The City can't change this law in any way (in either direction) without risking losing the ability to regulate short term rentals altogether, so...We have a thriving Air BNB "black market", but it's inherently risky and you should not base your long term cash flow numbers on this model...the smart strategy seems to be get it while you can, but be prepared to quickly shift to a long term rental strategy if you get busted.

I was curious if any BP members have a home on the coast that they put into AIR B nB specifically Seaside Or.I have a new build there that has a fabulous view.. its 3 bed 3 bath brand new construction upgraded granite appliances etc.. huge Deck with 300 degree views including Tillamook Head.. and ABOVE the Tsunami zone.Just curious about what one could expect for rent per night ... or per week... and if you have success in Seaside in particular its a hoping place in the summer that's for sure.
