I have been reading the forums trying to get a list of qualifications to use, but a person with rentals in an upscale neighborhood in CA where rents run 2500/mo. on average is going to have a completely different qualifications than someone doing working class rentals.

(I've already begun work on spreadsheets, but finding out the specific fees and management rules for each condo/condotel is daunting and I don't want to start actually shopping until I know a lot more about each condo association).- I am totally aware of the problems with condos.

When I started to look there are lots of 2 acre lots for for $200-$300k in the “boonies” (2-4 miles from shops, busses, restaurants) that might work just as well.
