Yes, it is a lot more likely that the agent is just fighting for a commission, but for those of us that are able to see the forest through the trees, it is fine to push your client towards the right property.I've stopped clients from buying properties they wanted to, and encouraged them to pursue buying others.

The one I spotted today appears to require quite alot of work from the outside, I've seen it before but it wasn't for sale and the brush and over grown trees hide the house pretty well.

If you want to add A/C and you start opening up walls in an old building you might find a bunch of things you do not like.So on an old building asbestos, lead paint, galvanized pipes, knob and tube mixed with current electrical, undersized circuit panels, galvanized water main going to the, trees causing foundation issues, new roof needed, mechanicals needed to be replaced etc.When you start adding up the big things it doesn't look as pretty anymore.
