I've seen a lot of people spend money and effort on wholesaling and not make a dime. 

I'd rather put my effort into enjoying life that fighting with a partner.With about half the marriages in the US failing, I would think that a partnership would have a bigger failure rate,   So why bother with a partnership, unless you are desperate for something you need in the relationship? 

The law expects you to know that if the debtor is in bankruptcy, you must stop all collection efforts.

Obviously the more effort you put into it the faster it will go. 

Going after them normally isn't worth the effort because most people don't have anything to go after. 

My main question is, is it even worth it to put the effort in to do all this to rent?

They do it as a measure of protection for their time and effort in helping you with your search but they are clearly crossing the line of business integrity when they did not ask for your formal consent. 

If you're new to this business, you will quickly learn that the bulk of your effort and time will be finding the willing homeowners. 

@Caleb Johnson I would put 110% of your effort into getting the loan approved!

I average 2% and I dont put much effort in trying to lower that number.
