@Brad HallmarkI had a similar idea of outfitting some properties (once I get some) with solar panels.

I’m thinking of putting solar panels on my rental but on the 9 storage units, not the duplex itself.  

We have solar on our rental and the numbers work well for us.

I'm in Sequim, Washington and we have low rainfall (rainshadow), beautiful mountains, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the list goes on but right now our average home price is $450K.

Has anyone installed solar panels on their rental units to earn passive income?

There are very lucrative incentives for commercial solar projects (residential too)... typically at least 50% of the total system cost can come back to you via tax credits and rebates for commercial projects.

I've been going back and forth on whether to put solar on my triplex or not.

Mainly coastal Baja (Rosarito to Cabo and some manufacturing sites Tijuana and Tecate), Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, Acapulco, Yucatán and Jalisco and San Miguel de Allende.
