If the agent collects the $800 fee that they're requesting (also subject to the 70/30 split), they get $560 for a grand total of $1,735.Not exactly a fantastic deal for the agent, even with the $800 - but that kind of thing must be disclosed up front, and most likely, your state's consumer laws will require it in writing.
