When we bought our house a few years back my name was not added to the deed (long story) Is it better for us to add my name to the title / deed for investing purposes or should I keep my name off?

Perhaps the answer to this question depends on the purpose of the sign - is it for the benefit of the tenants in case any issues?

Owning apartments and currently in the process of doing my own value add to increase the rents for valuation purposes, I would recommend to do a very detailed due diligence walk through of the property with at least 3 contractors (if you are unsure yourself) to get a good scope.

Currently comps are tough because we don't have a true turn key comp to compare ours too.

It is low compared to rule of thumb 1%. 

So I simply compared investing in either equities or real estate.

So areas like that are not a smart bet compared with more urban areas.
