Once licensed, you then have to take minimum continuing education classes, regularly.As far as the ethics concern, that dealfiles spoke of, you would not be able to appraise the property you are buying, nor can anyone you know appraise the properties, that would be unethical, and a violation.

In Ohio to be a Broker first you have to be an agent for at least 2 years and have 25 transactions then take the brokers classes then pass the broker test.Normally people just use a Realtor that they can work with and communicate well with.

I would suggest taking a college level economics course, generally it's a two part class so a total of 6 semester hours.BTW, the gains you've gotten on your currrent residence, your former residence now a rental and the gains you "could have gotten" on the place you didn't buy; those gains DO NOT INDICATE THAT YOU ARE A SAVVY RE INVESTOR.

You also setup "classes" (sort of a "third dimension" to your accounts) -- each building is a class. that way you can do a profit and loss byh "class" and it will break out your PL per building!

My suggestion would be to take a public speaking, and a writing class at your local JC, you sound young.
