Currently I am a server/bartender at a restaurant and bring home around 2000 a month.  

Good restaurants, Good school generally.

On the other side of the street are newly opening restaurants and small mom and pop stores. 

Proximity to the mountains, 300 days of sun, great beer, legal weed, arts, culture, bars, restaurants, parks ...

For a date hike, we have the glorious Tubbs Hill (only two miles after dinner at one of Coeur d'Alene great restaurants).

Corktown is a small area in Detroit that is full of shops/restaurants that have been getting gentrified now for the last handful of years.

I am just getting back into things after rolling my success in flipping earlier in the decade into a failed attempt at restaurant franchising.

I figure that area might be solid not only because of proximity to Balboa park but close to airport downtown etc.. and walkable to lots of restaurants making it vacationer friendly even if not like PB, La Jolla etc. right on the beach...2) also, are there decent websites or services that can give one typical expected incomes nightly ?

I'll add that proximity to attractions, restaurants, coffee shops, bars etc is a big one.

It's like asking "how do I open a restaurant?"
