To build long term wealth, I'd suggest purchasing the old fashioned way. 

I did receive a tip from another BP user who said to check out Seth Williams, where I am finding good info, but wanted to accompany that with suggestions here. 

@Eric Boshart may I make a suggestion...get wired with a local REI community and finding money will not be a problem.

I had 5+ applications/credit/background packages to review that following week, I picked one, and they moved in the next weekend. 

Secondarily, depending on the error, there may not be monetary damages available (or be very difficult to collect), and this may be the case if lawyers are suggesting the path of least resistance is to seek a variance to resolve the issue. 

Looks outdated and overpriced from my initial review of it.

If it is shorter than 6 months, lenders will do an internal review on the appraised value. 

The realtor suggests that I could rent it in current condition for $1,000 in this neighborhood and this checks out with the rents I'm seeing.
