Newbie here - 2 weeks into my first property, I plan to house hack short-term rental (live in basement, rent main house) in Nashville.

if I was self managing, it would significantly help my cash flow but would require time and effort and my time is worth significantly more than what STR PMs charge. 

We would like to keep our home now and use it as our first rental property, but we are unsure if we should just liquidate it and take the proceeds.

I was planning on combining the 3 strategies of brrrr, house hacking and sneaky rental strategy.

Hi, I am based in MA but about to buy rental property in NY.

I have a 100k equity in my primary and can't get a HELOC because the rentals are under my name not all of them.So then on the 2 in Oklahoma, which are under my LLC, and can't tap into 50K equity.

I'm particularly passionate about starting my portfolio and flipping my first house and then finding a couple of rental properties.
