I'm saying that the simple act of filing your taxes will not notify the bank in any way that you are renting the property rather than owner occupying it (unless you give them a copy of your tax return and they see the property address listed on your schedule E or something).If there is a due on sale clause or the bank is feeling like being a stickler about the situation, they could call the loan due if you do notify them.
