Besides tacitly giving the tenant the control by "confirming receipt" it also will require that I make a separate trip back to that property to inspect that particular unit on a date different than the others at the property I inspected on the planned day.

Right now when the court date would be scheduled is unknown but once landlord-tenant court restarts the earlier filings will likely be heard first.

However, even if the courts, marshals, etc. continue to serve, I doubt eviction would be their priority anyways, so best to make things work amicably like you said. https://patch.com/georgia/atlanta/no-evictions-60-days-atlanta-says-mayor-bottoms Actually, I've had 2 evictions running for a while and the court dates have both been cancelled and not reset.
