Aaron is correct about investing in other areas that are local that are outside of Port Arthur proper.

@Ellie Narie all the posts above are correct and your title company that you use to close on the property can help file the lien properly for you. 

Just make sure you screen your tenants properly before hand.

Does anyone know some good resources for learning that niche?

Without the proper disclosures you are putting yourself at risk.

You might make a reasonable argument, if you were going to issue currency based on standard, that that standard should be a resource that can be depleted and/or renewed, such that the circulation of fiat at any time was dependent upon the health of that resource. 

We are still in the early stages of research and are looking for any resources that could help give us a better idea of market characteristics.

And also important to make sure you diversify properly.
