Help! Steps of Listing Short Sale Home Owner / Owner of Option

I've done it a few ways, where I add my name to the listing agreement with the sellers name on it, listed it directly with just my name on it and just recently listed a property in NC where it was listed in my name as the 'contract buyer' notifying the end buyers that I was under contract and would be re-selling the property.

Seller is trying to resolve it-- but he is a middle aggregator who is just reselling some notes from his pool, so his ability to control the documents is likely limited.

Having the primary intent of resale does not constitute holding for productive use so no on the 1031.However, suppose you are meaning to hold that new house for rent or long term appreciation or as a movie set or a house of ill repute - anything but to immediately resell.

While you can get data directly from the county, it tends to be less efficient (whether measured in time or money) then buying it from a public records compiler / reseller.
