The alternative would be using their home (which they don't have the space for, or it's too loud because of their kids and barking dogs, or there's no parking, etc.).

I will plan on forming a new LLC to hold the airplane and document what costs were associated with each usage (personal or biz).I love the SR22 but with wife and 3 kids I would like to be able to haul all of us and I would be much more comfortable with 2 motors over Lake Michigan. 

I also have $10,000.00 that my parents stated they would contribute as a gift for my first house (they've done that with all their kids). 

People use all kinds of excuses like I can’t because I’m too old I’m broke I have kids I have a demanding job I have health problems and the list goes on .

This is only very simple math to give you an idea whether or not you want to look into the purchase any further unless there is something very special about the property that will increase the ROI i.e. adding a room addition, bathroom, rent it to enough college kids to make a good profit. etc.

Hey all,We're facing another crossroads with what to do in terms of a 1031 exchange that my parents and I co-own (which I also live in with my wife and kids) with our current place and selling it in exchange for a place that's a little bigger.

I am looking into buying a multi family property and for some reason I think that 2 bedroom units can be in higher demand since I am thinking they can re rented by single people, married couples and possibly couples with kids.

My wife and I have three young kids, have lived in our first home for 13 years, and do not currently own any investment property.
