Hey Augustine, to me it sounds like you're doing things 100% correct.These gurus survive by making too good to be true scenarios sound reasonably accomplished.I have several section 8 properties and it's the same deal... the FMV's are the ceiling for what the PHA will pay.

According to the CMHA board president Stan Harris "CMHA is to save about 1.2 M which will allow them to leverage 5 Million to bring 330 more housing units to Columbus in the next 10 years".

To have gotten to the point of a trial there would have to be some evidence proffered which would have allowed the case and counts to survive a motion for summary judgment.

With doing that we definitely cannot save because the future house mortgage/ tax/ insurance/ HOA would be (about 6.2K) eat up all our paychecks but as we are not big spenders, I know we can survive until rental starts to bring us some cash. 

I try exclude any with a surviving spouse in the residence but I am not convinced that is a good idea.
