Most of the places that did not like lawyers were sketchy slum lord types that were likely engaging in less then legal LL activities, and us lawyers know our rights.

Let me explain why:     First in many parts of the country  (be sure to check your states land lord laws to see it is the case there) it is illegal to collect more than 3 moths of rent.

I know of some land lords that have restrictions on the number of nights visitors are allowed to stay as  guests.
