This sounds nice on the surface, but I normally don't let tenants do work without permission and a clear, written agreement of what can be done, what materials will be used, what happens when they leave, and whether there will be any compensation.As the other poster suggested, I would not pay them more than what the work is worth had I hired a licensed contractor, and I would probably pay less.
