Since you will basically be doing all the work including finding the deal, doing the construction and leasing/renting it out, that might make sense from a structure standpoint.

However, buy the property if it makes investment sense first.

Hello Experienced Real Estate Investors,I am interested in investing in multi-unit buildings in the City of Chicago and wanted to know what you think are the top 3 areas that will see the greatest gentrification/upswing in the next 5-10 years.

There will have to be 750 between units and owners will need to register them and display their registration in a prominent place in the property.

The logic makes sense. 

However, if they can still sue then there’s no real point in keeping security deposits if that makes sense.

Hi BP,We just purchased a mixed-use building with 7 units of retail on the ground floor (13,000 sq. ft.), office above (13,000 sq. ft.) and a really cool basement (8,000 sq. ft.).We bought the building vacant except for one tenant, a nail salon.

All of the units had curtains, not doors, when I bought them.
