After the year is up can I house hack the side I was living in like normal?

(I bought it 3 years ago)I'm trying to see how long in the future I will need to do another gut renovation, so I can start saving up some money toward it.Things are in pretty good shape.

Today we invest 100% into Roth contributions so there is no tax benefits to diverting the funds I would just be giving up the $7K a year employer match.

Interest rates are in the 6-7% range... so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if you are increasing your loan amount by ~$50k, and at a higher interest rate,  your payment has to go up or your terms have to extend.  

My research has turned up a rural area with a decent rental market where 68% own and 32% rent.  

Just remember, its easy to get caught up in finding value.
