Whatever clauses you have the most trouble with or plan on strictly enforcing I would highlight those. 

Should I run away on what may be a good financial deal or try and figure out (someone suggested a lawyer) if they are "legal" and enforceable for the remainder of the lease?

Enforcing a rent increase is mandatory on the part of a landlord.

I've run and operated 2 AirBnB's in NYC, not sure about Dallas market but I do know that it is a positive legislative environment for AirBnB. 

Personally, I'd verify how the owner got to 18, then get an (enforceable) option to buy from #19 as a precondition to the 18.
