Main problem is that its an old house and they are lead drain pipes and most plumbers do not want to touch it because pipes will break.

You're right Jerry to pipe in with a comment like this.

Are you saying that there was no way to recognize galvanized pipes?  

Problems came up when my independent Home Inspector took a look and came up with a list of problems such as leaky pipes, bathrooms vented to living space, old hvac, etc.  

We are going to see a lot more of this coming down the pipe as the economy continues to sour.

Now delete those having a value above $10,000.  90% of properties having a cert against them which has a face value above $10,000 will be unobtainable for one of many reasons and will be a pipe dream.   

@Melanie StephensThat one time I didn’t scope the sewer...1950’s house and I knew there was potential for orangburg pipe or something, but decided to skip the scope.

I'm exhausted and was wrecking my brain, so I am running to the Guesty website, right now!

The sewer pipe was 10 feet deep!  

Later on, we found out that the water leaks are coming from old piping behind the kitchen cabinets!
