We had all three renters arrested for felony possession with intent to distribute (aka drug dealers) in one of our LTRs and we never even knew about it till over a year after they left.

Literally within 2 days there were 2 women squatting in the upstairs unit and people were coming by at night and sleeping there and using it as a place to do drugs.

My reasons for not wanting the cash was that I’m pretty sure both sides were drug dealers, I then had cash overnight in my home, the tenants that knew where I lived also knew that my spouse and I work the overnight shift so in turn the money they just gave us was sitting there alone if they or their adult children or a friend they told just happened to come break in looking for the cash.
