Argument leads to shooting in Scottsdale short-term rental; party organizer arrested

According to Officer Aaron Bolin, authorities were called out to a home near Hayden and Indian School roads around 2:50 a.m. Investigators believe that two women had an argument, which escalated to a shooting. People inside the home began to run off once the shooting happened and police started arriving.

While no one was injured and no property damage was reported, several people at the scene were detained which ended in one arrest. Police say the party's organizer, identified as 29-year-old Armando Sotelo-Carrillo, is facing recommended charges of disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Carrillo is not believed to have been involved in the shooting.

The Scottsdale Police Department is asking for witnesses and individuals that were involved at the party to come forward. Anyone with information should call the police tip-line
