Looking for ideas on how to screen International student applicants who do not have a SSN for rentals.

Have a solid lease and if you are renting to students, get parents to guarantee lease

Would you accept a tenant who was a student and paid rent with funds from a loan?

In each case, the clients invested in areas where the tenants were primarily medical or law students in the city/urban area; the square footage is small which contains rehab costs and the draw is location and amenities.

The return is $9000 per month if all are rented out to students or they can be sold at $230,000 according to comps in the area.

I also have a 24k student loan, so I have been trying to think other real estate options to gain capital, flipping sounds like a good approach but I don't have any the skills do do it myself at the moment. 

@Kevin Enderle Almost 100% of my 50+unit portfolio are student rentals and not allowing pets is totally swimming upstream. 

I am not sure why Discover would have declined the approval, but I know that many smaller banks also offer great student cards that have very low credit limits ($2,000 or less).
