I recently took a course in the built environment and the way different countries value mass transit and how they build real estate around it.

I myself invest in cashflow but if you are banking on just appreciation then as long as those carrying costs are not too much and you feel confident that the properties are in the path of growth, go for it.

Bravo to you for pursuing this path!

As stated, I've familiarized myself with different parts of the country for different reasons, (Army, commercial fishing, love of outdoors) and I've been listening to the BP podcast for a while now. 

Your mindset of learning, asking questions, and pursuing an alternate path puts you well ahead.

I am an investor myself and also own a small print shop that only works with other real estate investors from around the country.

There are quite a few forums discussing properties in other countries, but the vast majority of tools and information here relates to US property. 

This is a classic bureaucratic strategy played out over and over and over again across the country by legislators that refuse to live within budget constraints that the rest of us must live by. 

Think outside the box a little bit and consider buying acreage property here in Idaho in the path of growth. 

Now my whole mindset and the path I want to take in life has changed.
