Us and 4 children live in the home. 

Luckily for me though I have a family member who was jailed for crimes against children and having a difficult time finding anyplace to rent to him.

Clarification: My father gifted half ownership to 4 children one year and the remaining half the next year to avoid gift tax.

That may not be a problem if no children but can certainly slow down your intentions to list and sell, if that's the plan.

Would you be targeting people who come and visit family in Akron, or perhaps families staying because they have a child in Children's hospital?

All one has to do to lose weight is to burn more calories than consume it! 

Or do you sometimes let the parent sign and list the adult children as occupants?

I'm going to stick with the $15K/month plan just in case but will hope to leave most of it to my children.
