I see they tried to actually be creative with this “section 1274 tax”....section 1274 deals with applying an Imputed interest rate (a minimum rate that the Receiver of installment payments will have to declare as interest income) to an installment loan that calls for a zero interest rate.

It depends upon who owns it - solar company that installed it or the home owner  If owned by solar company then no additional value  It may add value as an investment property as it does provide income.

You might consider installing water saving features (replace old toilets, install water saving shower heads, etc.) and actually asking the tenants to please try to conserve water (if you have a good relationship with them).
