Even if that is the case, to have a new contractor pick up where the old one left off is a nightmare on its own.

The period you can begin to deduct expenses  starts when it was "placed in service" this means when it was listed as available for rent.

You will also have to pay for the lender's appraisal and one you pick will not be used.

I have been trying to be as nice as peach pie in order to move the situation along as fast as possible. i was present when my listing broker called the manager to try and get a resolution and the manager lied twice during the conversation and contradicted himself at least twice during that conversation.
