There are deals to be had in the Salt Lake valley.

We live in a tourist area and thought about buying a cottage on the lake and run an AirBnB out of it.

., it is becoming more and more like NYC and SF every year, and to me that is a GOOD thing).Economically speaking the numbers you threw out are indeed going to make it a bit tough (on the East Side of Lake Washington at least, where I live and invest). 

I have a house in Lake Worth need a driveway about 2,400 sqft, to and  I need great Asphalt contractor recommendation.

I have short term rentals at Canyon Lake and they do AWESOME.

I know it's tempting...Lake Lanier is so beautiful.  

There are a few, my issue is that my local area is a lake town.

It's on a Great Lake, has the infrastructure for MANY more people (at its height Detroit had 3 million people), and property is cheap!
