my key question was around trustee for these land trusts. i can work with the specific legal company to have their trustee initially, and then have a resignation deed which designates me the successor. should i do all this or just have myself as the trustee from the start itself?

A little bit about my experience in Real Estate… I started a couple years ago doing some house flips in Detroit ( It was a 2 year plan) then decided to sell everything, moved to Washington DC which can’t afford anything in the DMV area but last year I purchased a very nice 3500 SQFT Duplex in Shaker Heights, suburb of Cleveland.

i think you had posted in another thread about starting out of state, and i'm curious where you chose.are you talking to lenders already? 

To be honest, this sounds like a scenario that would be very difficult to start off with.

Starting one from the ground up, or buy an existing property that is for sale?

With property taxes and insurance on the rise, some investors are even seeing neutral or negative cash flow at the start.

There are no more new large projects started.
