I've paid close attention to this because on some homes the assessed value pushes the taxes too far for me to want to deal with - especially when I know I can't get enough rent to cover it and make a decent profit.Hope this helps.

As i was pushing myself to the limit I was keeping an eye on signs of distressed properties.

A lot of states will allow you to pay off the oldest ones first and push out the date for the tax sale.  

We have a larger motor home that would double as our residence for 2-3 months while made some decisions on an area to put down roots.  

You could also use the earnest money as a way to push the closing date back farther and get the house at a lower price.

We are both pretty easy-going, so those confrontational situations don't happen as often as they might, but we refuse to let bullies push us around.

Hi @Jennifer StreamerI had a similar situation last month here in Las Vegas, where temperatures are pushing 110 degrees.

I think it really comes down to a matter of them seeing what clients they can push back an extra week or two and what clients they can't.

The house I'm selling right now could have pushed $145K.  

I can't believe (well, I can actually) that a Realtor would push that into your face and have you sign it so quickly without any explanation.
