The HOA may have some dirty laundry, contingent liabilities, escrowed funds, maintenance issues or other issues that they do not want made public, all the more reason to push them into compliance.

potential benefits buying now: ~ historic low interest rates ~ mtg pymnt may end up being less than your rent (taxes, ins and upkeep probably push it over) ~ tax advantages ~ take advantage of depressed prices (especially in Vegas!)

Clearly if the GOP can win Ted Kennedy's Senate seat, the Dems are screwing up big time...and you have to imagine if they can lose this seat, there will be a lot more lost in the near future...If the Dems try to push this current health care bill without due process (waiting for Brown to be seated), they deserve to lose all their seats...
