Hi I am in grand praire Texas, and I was wondering what the process was to close off my father in laws garage and converting it into a room, I've been doing contractor work a little over 6 months now and I've learned a lot, I am confident in building the wall my self, framing, taping bedding, texture, painting ect. however I was wondering what the process was to pull permits from the city and if there is anyone on here that can assist  Me with that, and what the cost should be.

I don't need any walls moved or replaced but all but 1 unit needs full gut on kitchen and bath.. all need new flooring, repairing walls and paint inside and out.

You need to talk to an RE attorney for that.You could throw some paint on it and sell it to one of these wholesale investors to make the major repairs and when you sell, make a proper driveway agreement with maintenance stipulations.If the current owner has not left town you could get with them to redo the 1955 agreement.

That was when the many sleepless nights started happening .One of the site that I MAY KEEP is a Mini storage complex very low maintenence and Great Cash Flow strangeset Investment : Bought a Historical Church and cemetary from the methodist church ,Put new roof on the building ,Painted inside and out .ETC .

That would probably fall down a few times as the tenant puts too much weight on the bar and screws up the paint.
