Small closets

Hoping to draw from the experience from others here. I have purchased a house that I am renovating to rent. The house is sound and in a good area. 3 beds 1 bath comparable to the area. The one thing I am concerned with is the size of the closets they will be 24" x 34". I am contemplating making them floor to ceiling with bifold doors, to take advantage of all the space I can. Has anyone done this or seen it done? Will it help or just draw attention to the small closets? Anyone have any other suggestions? Would it hurt the marketability of the home if I were to sell. Thanks in advance for all of your wisdom.

I've purchased several HUD houses that had bedrooms that were missing closets. HUD didn't consider them to be bedrooms, so I was able to get the houses cheap and add a wardrobe like Al described. I screw them to the wall so they are now attached and call it a bedroom.

If you are renting the house, I always tell prospective tenants that complain about the closets that a lot of houses don't have closets, so a small closet is better than no closet. Or I wil point out yes, that the closets are small, but at least there's a laundry area and space for a kitchen table.

One of my favorite lines is I will look at the husband/BF, but point to the wife/GF and say, "She will get all the closets. You'll just get the back of a chair." They laugh and then I talk about something else.
