Perhaps a nice 1950's built bungalow.Always hire a 3rd party property inspector to give you an unbiased feel for the home.

I believe its in a really good area to vacation since I visit here for fun.

For the 1BR apartment you're looking at $700/mo... and the 2BR $750, maybe $800/mo if its really nicely done and you can find a good tenant.  

IMO the grocery-retail-apartments all in one footprint is a nice model for redevelopment in urban areas where currently it's difficult to locate a big box style store plus parking lot, etc..I know a lot of people gripe about gentrification, but it's great for the long term viability of a neighborhood.

I'll probably get flack for this, but I'm nice to my tenants, and convey that in my messages to them.

It's nice having him there to keep an eye out...plus he plows and mows so our tenants get great service.

Once paid off they will be nice income streams.
