Go on Vrbo and Airbnb and do a search like you were looking to rent a condo in that area and see how many there are and what the rates look like.I know in other beach towns there are so many of them that it keeps the prices down.Also you have to worry about HOA fees and rules and possible special assements. 

I moved to the middle of nowhere and needed a job.

And many people will be in the same boat, so it may level out the competition for search on BNB sights.

Hi all, quick question today.I've been looking at a few older property listings while searching for a buy-and-hold rental property in Michigan.

What is the tenant's credit score, income & job stability, rent payment history with previous landlords, etc?

I did a search about this subject and there was a post from back in 2014, but nothing recent.
