Rent your places as an STR to temporary workers at that industry. 

Assuming that they are not illegal, they're getting more in unemployment than they used to earn, plus they got $2400 stimulus money. 

After networking with other investors and wholesalers I actually go lucky and found this deal through my wife's co-workers. 1 veteran investor was selling off pieces of her portfolio and she was okay with me buying just one of the 4 houses she was trying to sell since it was my first deal and she was excited for me to get started.

I feel like it is hard to find good deals in this area, so I am thinking about starting to shop elsewhere.Before I knew anything about real estate, I bought a 4br house and ended up house hacking by putting friends and co-workers up in the other bedrooms. 

I don't see why it would be illegal because it benefits the tenant. 

But we learn and we get up, brush our shoulders off and move on :)Thankfully, I was able to network with a local construction organization that was doing work in the area, and signed the house for a 2 year contract to house out of towner workers. 

And also I'm surprised your BC group has a tenant registry, it's commonly accepted here that they're illegal because of privacy laws.  

SB 939 makes it illegal to even serve notice to terminate a tenancy until a FULL YEAR AFTER the State’s COVID-19 Emergency Order expires.

This is illegal and a bankruptcy attorney/court would never approve him filing for bankruptcy.
